Over the once five weeks, opposing defenses have set up Justin Fields nearly impregnable.  Unfortunately for the Chicago Bears quarterback, however, a left shoulder injury will sideline him in Week 12.

Fields is officially inactive for the Bears' game against the host New York spurts on Sunday. Trevor Siemian will start for Chicago.( Editor's note Siemian injured his oblique during pregame overtures and Nathan Peterman will start rather.)

Since Week 7, Fields has scored an NFL-high 15 obnoxious touchdowns. Nine of those TDs came through the air, six on the ground, as Fields had at least one passing score and five rushing touchdowns for the week.

According to NFL Research, the longest similar band is tied with Kyler Murray since 1950.

In his alternate NFL season, Fields has come into his own, but the Bears have not followed through as they finish dead last in the NFC on Sunday.

Bringing back a pushed field and risking further injuries for a season with only fine playoff hopes still pulsing would be questionable to say the least.  The Bears( 3- 8) and spurts( 6- 4) protest off at 1p.m. It's Sunday.
